Nigeria to Host ICEGOV 2025, NITDA to Lead Local Organization

Nigeria has been officially named the host country for the 2025 International Conference on Theory and Practice of Electronic Governance (ICEGOV). The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) will serve as the local organizer. This event marks a significant milestone in Nigeria’s digital transformation and highlights its growing influence in global digital governance.

The United Nations University Operating Unit on Policy-Driven Electronic Governance (UNU-EGOV) confirmed that Abuja will host the 18th edition of ICEGOV from November 4th to 7th, 2025. This prestigious conference will bring together governments, academia, international organizations, industry leaders, and civil society. Participants will exchange insights, research, and best practices in electronic governance. The theme for ICEGOV 2025 is “Shaping the Future of Digital Governance through Cooperation, Innovation, and Inclusion.” This theme emphasizes the need for collaboration in addressing digital governance challenges.

NITDA’s Role in Showcasing Nigeria’s Digital Advancements
