US President Donald Trump’s proposal to move Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to Egypt and Jordan has been categorically rejected by Hamas, which has called the plan an effort to uproot its people and weaken the Palestinian cause.

Hamas denounced the plan as an “aggressive scheme” that ignores the historical and national rights of Palestinians in a statement issued on Monday.

After years of fighting and forced relocation, the group emphasized that Palestinians are unwavering in their dedication to their homeland.

According to Xinhua News, the statement said, “The Palestinian people will not accept any plan that seeks to uproot or displace them.”

Additionally, Hamas demanded that the US government stop endorsing Israeli actions that it says violate Palestinian rights.
