Trump Suggests Moving Gazans To Jordan & Egypt

In an attempt to bring about peace in the Middle East, US President Donald Trump proposed a proposal on Saturday to “just clean out” Gaza and stated that he wanted Egypt and Jordan to expel Palestinians from the region.

Trump said he had discussed the situation with King Abdullah II of Jordan and that he will speak with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Sunday, calling Gaza a “demolition site” following the Israel-Hamas war.

“I want people to go to Egypt.” On Air Force One, Trump told reporters, “And I want Jordan to take people.”

“We just sweep out that whole area, and you’re talking about perhaps a million and a half people. You know, that location has seen countless fights over the ages.

The conflict that started on October 7, 2023, when Hamas attacked southern Israel, has resulted in the displacement of the great majority of Gaza’s 2.4 million residents, frequently on several occasions.

According to Trump, the relocation of Gaza’s residents may be “temporary or could be long term.”

Trump went on to say, “It’s a demolition site right now, practically everything is being demolished, and people are dying there.”

Therefore, I would want to work with some of the Arab countries and construct housing in a different area where people would be able to live in peace for a change.

The second week of a precarious ceasefire and hostage-release agreement between Israel and Hamas, which Trump has claimed credit for, was signed on the final day of former US President Joe Biden’s administration.
