Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah is making history as Namibia’s first female president. Here are five key facts about her:

In December 2024, Nandi-Ndaitwah won the election with 57% of the vote. She is the first woman to lead Namibia and continues the rule of the SWAPO party, which has been in power for over 30 years.
