Arsenal’s Premier League Title Hopes Suffers Major Setback

Arsenal’s Premier League title hopes suffered a major setback with a 1-0 defeat to West Ham at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday. Jarrod Bowen’s header just before halftime proved decisive, as the Gunners struggled to break through West Ham’s solid defense. Their chances of a comeback were further weakened when Myles Lewis-Skelly received a red card in the 73rd minute, reducing them to 10 men. The loss leaves Arsenal trailing league leaders Liverpool by eight points, dealing a significant blow to their title ambitions.

Meanwhile, Manchester United staged a dramatic late comeback to secure a 2-2 draw against Everton at Goodison Park. Everton dominated the first half, with Beto scoring in the 19th minute and Abdoulaye Doucoure adding a second. However, United fought back, with Bruno Fernandes scoring from a free-kick in the 72nd minute and Manuel Ugarte firing in the equalizer eight minutes later.

United narrowly avoided defeat when Everton was awarded a late penalty after a challenge by Harry Maguire on Ashley Young. However, after a VAR review, the decision was overturned. The result prevents another damaging loss for United and offers some relief for manager Ruben Amorim as the team continues to struggle in the league.
