Despite Leicester’s Poor Performance, Van Nistelrooy Believes His team will bounce back

As he attempts to put an end to a seven-game losing streak that has left Leicester in the Premier League relegation zone, manager Ruud van Nistelrooy maintains he is not concerned about losing his job.

After taking Steve Cooper’s place at King Power Stadium in early December, Van Nistelrooy collected four points from his first two games as manager.

His promising start, though, was swiftly undone, and the Foxes are currently two points from safety in the league standings, sitting second from bottom before their Sunday matchup with Tottenham.

The Dutchman, a former standout striker for Real Madrid and Manchester United, stated: “My sole concern is pulling this team out of the predicament we’re in.

“I strive to get the most out of this team every day by working with the players and everyone at Leicester.”

“You must be tough, strong, and demonstrate character when things are rough. You have to be persistent, diligent, and dedicated.

As a group, I believe we are unified and dedicated. On the field, you can see that spirit. Although we have been losing, I see a team that is resilient and has spirit. This run will come to an end, but we will continue.

Woyo Coulibaly, a French defender, is the sole player Leicester has acquired this transfer window. According to Van Nistelrooy, there is currently “no news” on any additional additions.

Leicester is still looking for ways to bolster the team, according to the former Manchester United striker, who also briefly served as the side’s temporary manager earlier this season.

“We are looking at options to strengthen the squad, but I believe in the players I have now,” he stated.

The possibilities and their limitations are evident. There is currently no news, but we are still in that process.
