Gaza Civil Defence Reports 13 Killed in Overnight Israeli Strikes

Gaza’s civil defense agency has reported that Israeli airstrikes overnight have killed 13 people, including women and children, in areas such as Khan Younis and Gaza City. This development follows a significant escalation in violence, with over 400 Palestinians killed in previous strikes, marking one of the deadliest periods since 2023.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that these operations are “only the beginning,” emphasizing objectives to dismantle Hamas and secure the release of Israeli hostages. The resurgence of violence has drawn international condemnation, with countries like Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey calling for an immediate ceasefire.

The humanitarian situation in Gaza continues to deteriorate, with hospitals overwhelmed and a blockade hindering essential supplies. The international community is urging restraint and a return to negotiations to prevent further civilian casualty.
