Guardiola Says Man City “Will Be Back” In The Upcoming Campaign

After struggling this season, Pep Guardiola has stated that Manchester City would be back in the running to win the Premier League next year.

After a historic run of four straight English championships, City is now 12 points behind leaders Liverpool and in danger of losing the Champions League after blowing a two-goal lead in a 4-2 loss to Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.

However, as his team continues to fight for a spot in the Champions League next season at home against Chelsea on Saturday, Guardiola, who has won 18 titles since moving to the Etihad in 2016, remained optimistic about a comeback.

“Unquestionably, we are not in the best position under the circumstances,” the city manager stated.

“I’m not that dumb as to be ignorant of our standards and level. Everyone is aware of it.

As we have demonstrated over the past seven, eight, and nine years, I still think they are an outstanding set of players. I won’t alter my opinion after two months of poor outcomes.

However, I witnessed it repeatedly—three months ago, two months ago—that we would struggle this season, and it did.

A defiant Guardiola stated: “Many big clubs, like Chelsea right now, are not in the Champions League.” City will play Club Brugge on Wednesday, a game they must win to avoid being eliminated from the Champions League.

“The Champions League does not include Manchester United.” We could undoubtedly experience it if we were not present.
