The United States First Lady, Melania Trump, has announced that the White House will once again open its doors to the public for guided tours beginning Tuesday, February 25, 2025.
In a statement released by the White House on Wednesday, the First Lady shared her excitement about the opportunity to welcome visitors to the iconic landmark. She emphasized how the tours will offer guests a chance to learn about the history of the American presidency, the First Families who have lived in the White House, and the broader history of the nation.
Melania expressed that the White House remains a unique symbol of American governance, providing an experience unlike any other in the world.
“The President and I are thrilled to reopen the White House to those eager to explore the remarkable history behind this iconic and beautiful landmark. It offers an unparalleled opportunity to discover the story of the American presidency, the First Families, and the rich history of our country,” said the First Lady.
She added, “This experience is truly unique, and we are proud to continue this tradition for the hundreds of thousands of visitors who come each year.”
As per the statement, public tours will be available from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, as well as Fridays and Saturdays, excluding federal holidays. The self-guided tours typically last 45 minutes. To book a tour, visitors must submit a request through Members of Congress, with requests accepted up to three months in advance. Tours will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
