Israeli Strikes Kill Nine in Syria Amid Rising Tensions

At least nine people were killed in Israeli airstrikes on Syria, as tensions in the region continue to escalate. The strikes targeted military positions linked to Iran-backed groups, according to reports from Syrian state media and monitoring groups.

Among the dead were both Syrian soldiers and allied fighters. Several others sustained injuries as explosions rocked key locations. The attacks reportedly hit sites in Damascus and other strategic areas, marking another escalation in Israel’s ongoing campaign against Iranian influence in Syria.

The Israeli military has not officially commented on the operation. However, Israel has repeatedly stated that it will not allow Iran to strengthen its military foothold in Syria. Over the years, Israeli forces have carried out numerous airstrikes aimed at disrupting arms shipments and military installations linked to Tehran.

The latest strikes have drawn sharp criticism from Syrian officials, who condemned the attacks as a violation of their sovereignty. Regional analysts warn that continued airstrikes could further inflame tensions and provoke retaliatory actions.
